Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration
  • The manuscript is the original work not the result of plagiarism
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word (DOC or RTF)
  • The manuscript is made following the Karts Journal TEMPLATE that we have provided
  • The text complies with the stylistic and bibliographical requirements outlined in the Author/Template Guide

Author Guidelines

The Karst Journal is published 2 (two) times a year, namely in June and December, containing articles on the thoughts and results of research by Researchers, Lecturers, Teachers, Practitioners and Students to convey the results of studies and prioritize research results in the fields of Physics Education, Physical Sciences and Applied physics.

General Requirements
1. Articles/Manuscripts have not been published before, and are not considered for submission in other journals.
2. The manuscript is an original work not the result of plagiarism
3. The submission file is in Microsoft Word (DOC or RTF).
4. The manuscript is made following the Karts Journal TEMPLATE that we have provided.
5. The text complies with the stylistic and bibliographical requirements outlined in the Author/Template Guide.

Title: a maximum of 25 words for articles in Indonesian. The title is typed in Times New Romanfont, plain print 14.

Name: or the authors are typed under the title with Times New Roman 11 font in bold, without title and may not be abbreviated. Below the name is written the name of the institution and the author's email address.

Abstract: a maximum of 200 words Abstract written with one space. Abstract contains research title, research objectives, methods, research results, and conclusions. Provide a maximum of 6 keywords that describe the substance of the article. Typed with a single space, Time New Roman 12.

Keywords: keywords, separated by commas, typed in double spaces under the abstract. [Times New Roman font 12, single spaced]

Introduction: background of the problem, urgency and rationalization of activities, literature review, problem solving plan, activity objectives, and hypothesis development (if any) [Times New Roman font, 11, normal]

Method: The research method describes: approach, scope or object, operational definition of research focus variable/description, place, population and sample/respondent, main materials and tools, data collection techniques, and data analysis techniques [Font Times New Roman, 11, normal ]

Results and Discussion: The results of the study are presented completely and according to the scope of the research. Research results can be supplemented with tables, graphs (pictures), and/or charts. Tables and figures are numbered and titled. The results of data analysis are interpreted correctly. The discussion section describes the findings logically, linking them with relevant reference sources. [fonts Times New Roman, 11, normal].

Reference List: The list of references is written in accordance with the American Psychological Association (APA) Fifth edition. bibliography using reference managers like Mendely, Zetero, Andnote.

1. Articles are typed in Microsoft Office Word format.By using Times New Roman font size 10, single spaced on A4 paper.
2. Authors can submit and register articles via online OJS on the website: https://ejournals.umma.ac.id/index.php/karts
