Abstract

The Elementary School Teaching Assistance Program (AMSD) is a field-based learning activity aimed at strengthening the pedagogical competencies of Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) students. This activity was carried out over six weeks by 12 PGSD students (Batch 23) of Universitas Negeri Makassar at SD Ranu Harapan Islamic School Makassar. Partner problems identified included limited technology-based learning media and the need for pedagogical skill development. The program aimed to integrate academic theory with real-world practice through six course projects: Multimedia Learning, Social Science Concept Development, Learning Supervision, Classroom Management, Multi-grade Teaching, and Natural Science Concept Development. Implementation methods included classroom observation, teaching practice, digital media production, and interviews with cooperating teachers. Program effectiveness was evaluated based on product validity, teacher responses to learning media, and implementation impact on student engagement. Results showed that students successfully developed various learning media and tools implemented directly in classrooms, including interactive multimedia applications, Social science studies teaching modules, science concrete media, and multi-grade teaching simulation videos. Impacts included enhanced student pedagogical competencies, enriched learning resources for the partner school, and strengthened university-school partnerships. Based on product evaluations and positive responses from cooperating teachers, the AMSD program is considered effective as an integrative medium between theory and practice in preparing reflective, innovative, and adaptive future educators.
