Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the role of Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobakteria (PGPR) in increasing the growth and production of soybean plants (Glycine max L. Merill). This research was conducted in Baruga village, Bantimurung sub-district, Maros regency. The research began in February until May 2018. The method of this study used Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 3 replications using 4 types of PGPR with one comparison, P0 (Control), P1 (PGPR bamboo root ), P2 (PGPR Alang-alang root), P3 (PGPR elephant grass root), P4 (PGPR daughter root shame).

The results showed that Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) was able to increase the growth and production of soybean plants. The use of bamboo root PGPR had a significant effect on growth in the parameters of the number of leaves and the number of bases. It also affected production on the parameters of number of pods, weight of plant pods - 1 gr, weight of 1 gr of seed, weight of 1 gr.
